A statistical tripwire on the world's attention: pick a topic or country, and we email you when its coverage surges (≥2 standard deviations above its trailing month) or a new story chain forms around it. Free during the beta.
How alerts work
Every ingestion cycle we recompute each watched series against its own trailing 30 days. A surge alert fires when today's coverage runs at least two standard deviations above that baseline — the same z-score shown on our dashboards. A chain alert fires when a new multi-outlet story chain forms around your watch. Signals are deduplicated per day, so a long surge alerts once, not hourly.
